The Foundation offers year-round riding lessons to its student members.  A major emphasis of this educational program is to teach responsible horse ownership.  This includes horse health and proper care and keep.  Our goal is to train not only riders but competent horse owners.

We have a great way to spend a week during the summer.  Youngsters can join us for day camps designed to give them a hands-on introduction to the world of horses.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED:
 - Sign up for riding lessons, a special clinic, or earn a scouting badge
- Participate in our summer youth camp
- Sponser one of the Foundation rescued horses
- Make a tax deductable donation
Your contributions and dues go directly to the care of the herd

We have periodic seminars and clinics that are open to the public.  They cover various topics of horse stewardship.

Young people can earn scouting horse badges and awards.  Topics include:  history of the horse, anatomy, grooming, checking for medical conditions, riding styles, saddling and bridling.  Advanced badges can be earned through individual lessons.
