Horse Harbor Foundation offers a variety of programs, and there are many ways to get involved. These opportunities include year-round riding lessons to student members and week-long summer day camps for interested youngsters. The major emphasis of both educational programs is to teach responsible horse ownership, which includes horse health and proper care and keep. The Foundation's goal is to train not only competent riders but also competent horse owners. The day camps are designed to give a hand-on introduction to the world of horses, including riding, grooming, and handling.

We also offer scouting badges and awards for young people. Topics of these badge-earning sessions include the history of the horse, anatomy, grooming, checking for medical conditions, riding styles, saddling, and bridling. More advanced badges may be earned through individual lessons.

Periodically, we also set up seminars and clinics that are open to the public. They cover various topics of horse stewardship.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED:
- Sign up for riding lessons, a special clinic, or earn a scouting badge
- Participate in our summer youth camp
- Sponsor one of the Foundation's rescued horses
- Make a tax-deductible donation

Your contributions and dues go directly to the care of the herd!
