Darlyn, a roughly 20-year-old Arab grade, is one of the Foundation's more recent
acquisitions. She is another victim of divorce within a horse-owning family, and although she is very well trained, a physical
disability that limits her ability to be ridden made it impossible to find her a new home. A significant adhesion
of unknown origins on her right flank has become a challenge for our volunteer certified equine massage therapist, who
works with her weekly.
Darlyn
has become an incredibly valuable school horse for our intermediate and junior riders due to her excellent training. She is
used only within her physical limitations like all of the Foundation's horses, and has developed a special bond with elderly
Buckshot.
