Gypsy is a 15-year-old grade (horse lingo for mutt). She was released to the
Foundation by an owner who did not have the knowledge or skill to care for and use her properly and was too heavy for this
small horse. This improper riding has caused problems with Gypsy's hooves. They require special care by the farrier and only
lightweight riders.
Gypsy is one of those horses that prefers human company to other horses. However,
her social skills have improved over her time at the Foundation.
